Lingcod, Rock Fish & Crabbing Combo Trip

How our guide service differs from a Charter service:

We have a maximum occupancy of 6 clients per boat. This means a much more personalized experience and the ability to use different and more entertaining techniques than you see on a large Charter boat. Most chartered bottom fishing trips are set up to catch a limit of rockfish with an occasional lingcod as a bonus. With Lewis and Clark Guide Service, we will specifically target lingcod with a high success rate, and then move onto the Rockfish. One advantage to targeting each species separately is that we are able to select the right gear that allows for an awesome fight. Bottom Fishing Trips are a 6-8 hours and include crabbing. Because of the high success rate we often have time to salmon or halibut fish at the end. 

 

For larger groups, we work with other guides to accommodate the trip with each boat fishing up to 6 people. We have a custom-built boat, that provides more safety and comfort than your typical guide boat on the ocean.

 

A guided bottom fishing trip off the Oregon Coast is a must for the adventurer or lover of fishing. Not only are these fish hard fighting and willing biters for anglers, they are also one of our favorite fish to eat.   The white, flaky rockfish are easily adaptable to many recipes and tastebuds, and a catch everyone loves.

 

Oregon Bottom Fishing

There are many varieties of rockfish we target, including Ling Cod, Black Rockfish (Seabass), Tiger Fish, Canary, and Copper Rockfish are often caught on this trip. The lingcod limit is 2 per person and 5 Rockfish per person. With all our ocean trips we will drop crab pots to add to your catch. The limit is 12 crab per person and requires a shellfish permit.  More about lingcod.
